    This Privacy Policy explains how WP Media LLC ("LeadMarketo", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit leadmarketo.com, use the LeadMarketo platform, or communicate with us.

    LeadMarketo is a communication and marketing platform for businesses. We process personal data in two distinct roles:

    • As a data controller — for data about our own website visitors, trial users, and customers.
    • As a data processor — for data our customers store in the platform about their contacts (leads, customers, message history). For that data, our customer is the controller and we process it only on their instructions under our Data Processing Agreement.

    1. Data we collect

    Account & billing data — name, business name, email, phone number, billing address, and payment details (handled by our payment providers; we never store full card numbers).

    Platform usage data — log-ins, feature usage, device and browser information, IP address, and diagnostic logs, used to operate and improve the service.

    Communication data — messages you send to us via forms, chat, email, or phone, including support conversations.

    Customer content (processor role) — contacts, conversations, and campaign data that you or your team upload or connect through integrations (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, Google, SMS, email). You control this data; we host and process it to deliver the service.

    2. How we use data

    • Provide, maintain, and support the LeadMarketo platform
    • Set up your account and deliver personal onboarding
    • Process payments and manage subscriptions
    • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
    • Send service notices (billing, security, feature changes)
    • Send marketing communications you've opted into — you can unsubscribe anytime
    • Monitor performance, prevent abuse, and improve the product
    • Comply with legal obligations

    3. Legal bases (GDPR)

    Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (service improvement, security, B2B marketing to business contacts), consent (optional cookies, newsletter sign-ups), and legal obligation (accounting and tax records).

    4. Sharing & subprocessors

    We never sell personal data. We share data only with:

    • Service providers (subprocessors) — hosting, telephony/SMS delivery, email delivery, payment processing (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), and analytics providers, bound by data processing agreements.
    • Connected platforms you authorize — e.g., Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google, WhatsApp Business — governed by their own privacy policies.
    • Authorities — where required by law.

    5. International transfers

    We serve customers in the EU/EEA and beyond, and some subprocessors are located in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

    6. Retention

    Account data is kept for as long as you have an account and for up to 12 months after termination, after which it is deleted or anonymized (except records we must keep by law, e.g., invoices). Customer content is deleted or exported at your request upon account closure — you can export your contacts and data at any time before cancellation.

    7. Your rights

    Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request: access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Sweden: IMY).

    To exercise any right, email hello@leadmarketo.com. If your data is held in a LeadMarketo customer's account (you are their contact), we will refer your request to them as the responsible controller.

    8. Cookies

    We use necessary cookies (login, security), and — with your consent — analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage preferences via your browser settings.

    9. Security

    We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, isolated customer environments, and regular reviews of our infrastructure and subprocessors. No system is 100% secure; we notify affected customers and authorities of personal data breaches as required by law.

    10. Children

    LeadMarketo is a business tool and not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

    11. Changes

    We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
